Smoking Gun

without comments

In every scandal, there is one piece of evidence that establishes the link to the kingpin, the mastermind of the scheme.

President Richard Nixon isolated himself except for the 18 minute tape that he erased. It became his smoking gun.

Why do we care at PEI Disability Alert? The Premier with his chief of staff Chris LeClair told us they didn’t have the $10 million to cover seniors in the DSP and took away $35,000 of the DSP budget this year. They have money alright, it’s just for their own bank accounts.

We may have found Premier Robert Ghiz’s smoking gun.

Ghiz is a sneaky guy

with 2 comments

The IRAC flap over price changes and notification is a smoke screen from Premier Robert Ghiz. It’s all about getting rid of Moe Rodgerson and maybe IRAC. Ghiz is a sneaky guy who likes to manipulate. Tim Banks is taking up the drum beat so it’s official.

This week IRAC stopped giving us a few hours notice on changes in gas and heating oil prices. The logic supports less than 2 dozen fuel dealers who get too many phone calls. It creates a disadvantage to 135,000 Islanders who need a leg up in the energy crisis.

Ed: Street talk on the Conservatives is they will keep quiet on Immigrant Scam to keep their own skeletons in the closet. This is interesting and important.

A provincial government immigrant program that aimed to connect foreign money to P.E.I. businesses should be probed by the public accounts committee, says committee chair Jim Bagnall.

Liberal Premier Robert Ghiz, 133,000 left out of his lottery

Liberal Premier Robert Ghiz, 133,000 left out of his lottery

An accountant told me tonight “There are a lot of unhappy Liberals in PEI, unhappy because they weren’t invited to the $100,000 party like the 2,000 who got immigrant money.”

Immigrant Scam may have made a windfall for 2,000 Liberal inner circle members, but the rest of the Liberal Party is wondering tonight why they didn’t get in on the action.
